We're really enjoying this nice spring weather! A few weeks ago we headed to the school playground to soak up some sun. We had a picnic, flew kites, blew dandelions, and played for several hours. Hailey loved running loose and I think Logan loved the sunshine and breeze on his bare little piggies. Here's pics of our fun day out.

Princess Day
Last weekend, Hailey and I headed to Princess Day at Chickfila. Hailey got all prettied up and I curled her hair, but her hair is like mine and the curls were gone before we made it across town.
The people at Chickfila really went all out. Everything was decorated so cute. I'm talking flowers, balloons, tablecloths, chair covers, tulle, and sparkles everywhere you looked. Most of the workers were wearing ball gowns and tuxes. Hailey loved looking at all the "beautiful princesses".
We had a great time riding in the limo, making crafts, and getting Hailey's face painted. She even got to sit on a huge horse! Every girl deserves to feel like a princess.

Logan at 6 months
Logan is 6 months old! (well actually 6 1/2 months today). He is growing so fast!
At his 6 month checkup, Logan was 29 inches tall, still taller than 99 percent of boys his age and weighed 18 lbs 3 ounces, right about average for his age. He's a pound heavier and 2 inches taller than what Hailey was at 6 months.
He is wearing 9 month clothes and could probably wear some 12 months cause his body is so stinkin long.
He is learning to sit up. This seems to be a little challenging because again, he is so long from the waist up that it is hard for him to balance.
He rolls like a roly poly and is trying to crawl. He gets up on his arms and wiggles back and forth but can't quite figure out how it works.
Logan is also developing his little personality. He is still easy going. He likes to jabber and loves to giggle. He's very expressive with his eyebrows. He often gives you that "what the heck look", just like his daddy and when Hailey starts throwing one of her fits he just giggles and looks like "you've got to be frickin kidding me". Couldn't have said it better myself son! But boy do you have a lot to learn about girls--let's just hold off on that for several years!

Hailey Day
Last week, Hailey, Kevin, and I skipped work/school to spend the day together. We dropped Logan off at daycare and headed to see Clifford the Big Red Dog Live!
Hailey loves reading the Clifford books, so when she saw the advertisement for the show she went nuts! The show was pretty cute. Hailey got a little bored about halfway through, but I guess that's not too bad for a bouncy 3 year old.
After the show, we headed to McDonald's (Hailey's choice) for lunch then home for a quick nap. We spent the afternoon playing at the park.
We topped off our day with a trip to Toys r Us and Goody's Frozen Yogurt. Hailey took full advantage of all the toppings-- m&m's, reeses pieces, oreos, chocolate chips, and sprinkles. We had a fun day! We really enjoyed getting to spend time with our little princess.

Back to Blogging
Well, I fell off the blog wagon once again! As much as I would love to say we've been on a fabulous month long Mediterranean vacation, the furthest we've been from home since last summer is Fayetteville! It really has been pretty wild around here lately. I recently took a new position at work. I'm still in the BSA dept, but now I'm supervising. This is a job I've wanted for a long time, but it's definitely a big adjustment and longer hours. I'm hoping things settle down (at least somewhat) soon!
Life at the Johnson house has been a blur of bottles, diapers, pb&j sandwiches, cartoons, and baths. It seems like the weeks are just flying by! Logan is growing so fast, he will be six months old this weekend!
Here's what we've been up to:

Logan had his first taste of rice cereal,
the face says it all! He has since tried sweet potatoes,
squash, carrots, pears, and apples.
He is not a fan of green beans!
Tummy time is getting a little better.
He likes playing with his toys and rolls around a lot.
Baby boy loves to smile!

Hailey turns 3
We celebrated Hailey's 3rd Birthday with a small family party - Nana & Gramps, Uncle Keith, Nana and Poppy, Aunt Robyn, and cousins Caden and Addison. We ate pizza, princess cupcakes (of course!) and strawberry ice cream. Hailey was so excited about her party! Her cousins and several of her school friends have had birthdays lately and she was ready for her turn!
Once again, Hailey didn't really cooperate with the picture taking while opening her presents. There was just so much to see, she was too excited! She got a Dora sing-a-long book, watercolors, finger paints, a v-tech learn to write numbers game, clothes, hair bows, a Pinkalicious book and baking set, gift cards, money, and an Ariel doll. All of this just a few weeks after Christmas! This girl is spoiled rotten!
Thank goodness Nana found an Ariel doll. This is the one thing that she kept asking for, and with it being so close after Christmas nearly every store was sold out of princess dolls. We will definitely remember this next year!
Since we had the party a few days before Hailey's actual birthday, we wanted to make her big day special too. Hailey kicked off the morning with birthday pancakes complete with whipped cream, sprinkles, and candles! Her preschool class sang Happy Birthday to her and celebrated with cookies. We also took her out to dinner. We told her she could pick anywhere she wanted, and she chose "Donalds". Hey, I'm not complaining, I'm sure next year it will be Chuck E Cheese.
Next year -- it will be here before we know it and way before I'm ready. I'm not ready for our baby to grow up! She has changed so much this past year. She's independent, sassy, silly, and smart. We are amazed every day at the things she has learned. We're so proud of our little lady. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAILEYBUG!

Blogger to go
So, I just discovered there's an iphone app for blogger. This will make it so much easier to post pics I take with my phone, especially since I use my phone to snap most of our fun, out on the town pics. Maybe, just maybe I won't get so far behind.
Stay tuned, I promise to get pics from this sweet girl's birthday posted soon!

Christmas Pics
The month of December just flew by, and Christmas was here before we knew it. This is the first time in 5 years that we didn't make it to see the Christmas lights in the park. I was a little disappointed, but with me having a bad cold and being determined to get well and have no one else be sick at Christmas it was for the best.
We were able to squeeze in a few Christmas activities like driving around to look at lights, photos with Santa, and going to a Christmas themed story time at the library. I didn't get pictures of all our activities, and somehow my computer misplaced the majority of the ones I did take, but here's a few pictures of how Hailey and Logan celebrated Christmas 2011.
Hailey decorated the tree
Again this year, she thought all the ornaments looked pretty hanging on one branch.
Santa stopped by the Christmas party at daycare. Logan is still so young he didn't quite know what was going on enough to be scared, but next year may be a different story. Hailey was a little timid at first, but decided Santa was pretty cool after all.
Daycare Christmas Party 2011
Hailey and Daddy made a gingerbread house
I was very impressed with the way it turned out, especially for this being their first house!

Hailey all dolled up
We spent Christmas Eve with Kevin's family. The kids enjoyed decorating Christmas cookies earlier in the day. Then once evening hit, we all headed back over for dinner and presents.
My Handsome boys enjoying the Christmas Eve festivities
Hailey and Logan got the neatest gift from Kevin's Aunt
A personalized, autographed copy of Pioneer Woman's book.
This pic cracks me up!
The kiddos were running wild, so I asked them to take a break and sit on the steps for a pic.
I said say cheese, and this is what I ended up with! and no they didn't have time to plan this.
Hailey was old enough this year to kinda understand the whole Santa thing. She was excited about leaving a treat for Santa. She also wrote him a letter (which was just a bunch of random letters!)
Santa finally made it to our house
and he brought Hailey a dollhouse
I wasn't able to get many good pictures of the kids opening Christmas presents. A three year old's excitement is just too difficult to capture on camera, I need to work on my action shots! After presents at our house, we headed to Nana and Gramps for Christmas breakfast.
The kids in their matching Christmas jammies,
yes I'm a nerd like that.
Don't worry, they won't still be wearing matching pajamas when they are ten...
unless they want to :)
Present Time
The day after Christmas, we celebrated Christmas #3 with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. By Day 3, Logan was getting cranky, and I was exhausted, but we had a good time seeing everyone.
Love this pic of our sweet kiddos!
