Our baby boy is 10 months old today! Time is going by so fast!
Here's what Logan is up to these days:
He started crawling a few weeks ago and is in to everything! We spend all day chasing after him. We remove him from one end of the house and he is off to the other end in a matter of seconds, we get out exercise for sure.
He is so curious. Logan loves to explore and figure things out. He also loves to watch every little thing Hailey does.
He loves to play ball. He can catch a ball when it is rolled to him and will throw it back to us- quite hard, the boy has some arms on him.
He jabbers and squeals, all the time! He is so loud. He says dada and can say momma (when he wants to).
He still drinks five formula bottles a day and is eating mostly baby food. We recently started some table foods. So far, he has tried and liked green beans, applesauce, potatoes, cheese, cookies, puffs, and little sausages. I think he is going to be a big eater!
Logan is such a big boy already. At his 9 month appointment, he weighed exactly the same and was actually 1/2 inch taller than what Hailey was when she was 12months. Baby boy is already bigger than a one year old! Maybe we have a future sports star on our hands.
He is growing and changing so quickly. Before long he will be walking and talking. We're excited to see what the next few months have in store.

Vacation --Part 2
After the zoo, we got cleaned up and headed out for a late dinner. Hailey chowed down on some chili cheese dip and topped it off with a big brownie and ice cream dessert. Hey, at least she ate something!
The next morning we checked out of our hotel and went to the Dallas Children's Museum. This place was pretty neat. Some of the exhibits were a little too old her Hailey to understand, but she enjoyed all the hands on activities. They do have an area for smaller kids with different imagination stations.
We had a great trip! Hailey and Logan did so well traveling and running around for two straight days. I'm ready to do it again!

Vacation 2012
We took our first family vacation this summer. We wanted somewhere that wasn't too long of a drive, but far enough away to make it feel like we've been on vacation. We chose Fort Worth. This was Logan's first road trip and their first time in a hotel.
The kids were so good! We stopped in Allen to do some shopping at the outlet mall. Of course, we bought mostly kids stuff! We then drove on to our hotel. Both of the kids were so excited to be in a hotel. They were rolling on the bed, squealing, and laughing hysterically- it was hilarious to watch them!
Another little funny thing, the hotel elevator made a loud beep as it passed each floor. For some reason, Logan found this entertaining and would let out a huge cackle every time. We tried to go swimming in the indoor pool, but it was freezing cold! The indoor, heated pool advertised on the website was one of the main reasons we chose that hotel, we were a little disappointed. Hailey and her Rapunzel doll got to sleep in the big bed with mommy and daddy while Logan slept in playpen. She thought that was pretty neat, me not so much. Nothing like getting kicked, yes kicked, in the face at 3am. Girl is a wild sleeper!
The next morning we got up and went to the Fort Worth Zoo. Hailey was so excited to see all the animals. Her favorites were the giraffes.
It was very hot and pretty crowded at the zoo that day (field trip day), but this boy did awesome. The only time he got a little fussy was right before he passed out for a nap.
Hailey was a good girl too. She got to stop by the gift shop and pick an animal. Of course, she wanted a giraffe--a pink one!

Family Play Day
We're really enjoying this nice spring weather! A few weeks ago we headed to the school playground to soak up some sun. We had a picnic, flew kites, blew dandelions, and played for several hours. Hailey loved running loose and I think Logan loved the sunshine and breeze on his bare little piggies. Here's pics of our fun day out.

Princess Day
Last weekend, Hailey and I headed to Princess Day at Chickfila. Hailey got all prettied up and I curled her hair, but her hair is like mine and the curls were gone before we made it across town.
The people at Chickfila really went all out. Everything was decorated so cute. I'm talking flowers, balloons, tablecloths, chair covers, tulle, and sparkles everywhere you looked. Most of the workers were wearing ball gowns and tuxes. Hailey loved looking at all the "beautiful princesses".
We had a great time riding in the limo, making crafts, and getting Hailey's face painted. She even got to sit on a huge horse! Every girl deserves to feel like a princess.

Logan at 6 months
Logan is 6 months old! (well actually 6 1/2 months today). He is growing so fast!
At his 6 month checkup, Logan was 29 inches tall, still taller than 99 percent of boys his age and weighed 18 lbs 3 ounces, right about average for his age. He's a pound heavier and 2 inches taller than what Hailey was at 6 months.
He is wearing 9 month clothes and could probably wear some 12 months cause his body is so stinkin long.
He is learning to sit up. This seems to be a little challenging because again, he is so long from the waist up that it is hard for him to balance.
He rolls like a roly poly and is trying to crawl. He gets up on his arms and wiggles back and forth but can't quite figure out how it works.
Logan is also developing his little personality. He is still easy going. He likes to jabber and loves to giggle. He's very expressive with his eyebrows. He often gives you that "what the heck look", just like his daddy and when Hailey starts throwing one of her fits he just giggles and looks like "you've got to be frickin kidding me". Couldn't have said it better myself son! But boy do you have a lot to learn about girls--let's just hold off on that for several years!

Hailey Day
Last week, Hailey, Kevin, and I skipped work/school to spend the day together. We dropped Logan off at daycare and headed to see Clifford the Big Red Dog Live!
Hailey loves reading the Clifford books, so when she saw the advertisement for the show she went nuts! The show was pretty cute. Hailey got a little bored about halfway through, but I guess that's not too bad for a bouncy 3 year old.
After the show, we headed to McDonald's (Hailey's choice) for lunch then home for a quick nap. We spent the afternoon playing at the park.
We topped off our day with a trip to Toys r Us and Goody's Frozen Yogurt. Hailey took full advantage of all the toppings-- m&m's, reeses pieces, oreos, chocolate chips, and sprinkles. We had a fun day! We really enjoyed getting to spend time with our little princess.

Back to Blogging
Well, I fell off the blog wagon once again! As much as I would love to say we've been on a fabulous month long Mediterranean vacation, the furthest we've been from home since last summer is Fayetteville! It really has been pretty wild around here lately. I recently took a new position at work. I'm still in the BSA dept, but now I'm supervising. This is a job I've wanted for a long time, but it's definitely a big adjustment and longer hours. I'm hoping things settle down (at least somewhat) soon!
Life at the Johnson house has been a blur of bottles, diapers, pb&j sandwiches, cartoons, and baths. It seems like the weeks are just flying by! Logan is growing so fast, he will be six months old this weekend!
Here's what we've been up to:

Logan had his first taste of rice cereal,
the face says it all! He has since tried sweet potatoes,

He is not a fan of green beans!
Tummy time is getting a little better.
